Tomato Powder made from rich, fresh, sweet Spanish tomatoes dehydrated and ground into a fine, delicate red powder. Tomato powder is an amazingly versatile addition to your pantry.
 
What makes Tomato Powder special is not its ability to replace other products, but rather the fact that it's a powder. You can sprinkle it onto popcorn, stir it into slaw, or create a salad dressing without adding the moisture and volume of tomato paste that it would take to infuse a dish with flavour. You can also make your own tomato paste by rehydrating with a small amount of water & very handy for any situation you need a tomatoey punch in any dish.
 
Depending on how much water you add, you will end up with either a tomato puree, tomato sauce, or tomato juice. Saves opening a whole jar & only using half the contents! 
 
One tablespoon is the equivalent of approximately three tomatoes. 
 
If you make your own pasta or pasta sauce, tomato powder adds a lovely flavour as well as colour. This is very useful when in ‘off season’ when fresh tomatoes aren’t all that full of flavour. We have added a Tomato Pasta Sauce to our product line so check that out for convenience. 
 
Sprinkle on pizza, bread or salads for flavour enhancement. You could add it to homemade salad dressings & the powder is also great for thickening sauces, casseroles & stews.
 
It is really important to store in an air tight container as the powder can draw moisture from the air & tends to clump. If this happens, simply break off a piece & add it to water and use it as normal.
